Dermatopathology
The Department of Dermatology at Northwell Health and Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra Northwell is seeking candidates for the position of Dermatopathologist to join its academic practice.
The dermatopathology service is currently comprised of 3 dermatopathologists who support the 50 dermatologists in the department, along with various physicians across our health system and in the community.
The position is well suited for a dermatopathologist who demonstrates strong skills in routine and complex diagnostic cases, inpatient dermatopathology consultations, as well as small and large surgical excision cases. The program has a robust dermatopathology curriculum for trainees and encourages participation in dermatology and pathology resident education.
Candidates who can develop and support a translational research program in partnership with the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research, the Northwell Health Genomics Alliance, and the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, a world-renown NCI designated cancer genomics program with 8 Nobel laureates to its credit, are also encouraged to apply. Candidates must be BC/BE in dermatopathology. Eligible candidates will also receive a medical school appointment, the rank for which will be commensurate with academic qualification.
